Chungking Noodles

I actually really like this place. I went this time for the vegan noodles dish, which was kind of awesome, apparently all dishes have the same sauce, but the difference is in the topping. So my topping was mostly tofu and shikaki mushrooms. It was really, really good. i asked for extra spicy and indeed it was Spicy but not burning spicy. Highly recommended for everybody that likes this genre of restaurants. There was quite a long wait to sit outside however, there were a few available tables Immediately inside. Great place.

This place is totally legit. The noodles are the main attraction - they are really well done and have a great taste. I ordered the pork noodle in “a little spicy” spiciness level which was just the right level for me. The noodles reminded me of a good tan tan men place in Tokyo. Generally, most of the noodle places I went to in Berlin were not so great but this place lived up to expectations. They even have their own pale ale beer label called “Motel”, which was really nice as well. Thank you!

Berlin could reach to be my second resident city in Europe. Everytime when I come here I am always busy with seeking for new food, beers, wines, spirits, Art and so on and on. However, now there is a always-must-go restaurant. That's Chungking Noodles. The spicy, aromatic and hearty noodles and appetisers are so addictive, full of flavours umami. So happy to see more and more chefs showing their talent in creating morden, fashion chinese restaurants in continental Europe. Before, we bowed (and still are doing) again and again to those casual, cosy london new Chinese restaurants. Now I think Chungking must be very proud to be one of the pioneer and representative success in Berlin even in the Continental area. Traditional recipe combined with modern tech and a pinch of Chef's creativity make a humble noodle so delicious (riquísimo). It's admirable the dedication and passion they are sharing to make so gorgeous and wonderful food! There is another I must mention is the exiting pairing they offer. From MOTEL CHUNGKING pale ale to a great selection of wines, the restaurant always could give continuous surprises. The staffs (all very nice & accommodating, specially Marco) tell us they have special season food and organise events from time to time. So there is no excuse no to come back again and again!

I visited last Friday and loved it! The space is very basic and minimalistic but also kinda cosy. The staff was super friendly, altough it was a Friday night full of customers and a line forming outside. I had the Sichuan braised beef noodles and they were divine. I had thae chance to live and travel in China for a while and actually visited Sichuan and the taste at Chungking reminded me of that time :) The noodles go pretty well with the Motel X Chungking Pale Ale! In general highly recommended, will come back.
